Tax Policy
This Tax Policy applies to all products and services sold by Solidot Technology and outlines the tax implications related to your orders. By placing an order with Solidot, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth in this policy.
1. Domestic Taxation
For orders shipped within the country of Solidot's operation, applicable sales tax, value-added tax (VAT), or other local taxes will be automatically calculated and included in the total order amount displayed at checkout. The tax rate applied complies with the current tax laws and regulations of the respective region.
2. International Taxation
For international orders (shipped outside Solidot's operating country), the product price listed on our website is exclusive of any import duties, taxes, VAT, or other customs-related charges. All such fees are the sole responsibility of the recipient (customer) and will be assessed and collected by the local customs authority or designated courier upon the shipment's arrival at the destination country/region.
Solidot has no control over the amount of these charges, as they are determined by the tax laws, tariff schedules, and regulations of the destination country/region. Tax rates and applicable fees vary by location and may change without prior notice.
3. Tax Exemptions
If you qualify for a tax exemption (e.g., for business, industrial, or governmental purposes) in your jurisdiction, you must provide valid and official tax exemption documentation to Solidot's customer support team (support@solidot.io) before completing your order. We will review the documentation and apply the exemption to your order if approved. No retroactive tax exemptions will be granted for completed orders.
4. Tax Invoicing
For domestic orders, a formal tax invoice (compliant with local tax regulations) will be issued for your purchase and can be requested via support@solidot.io. Invoices will include the order details, tax amount, and applicable tax rate.
For international orders, a commercial invoice will be provided with your shipment, which includes the product description, quantity, and declared value — this document is required for customs clearance and tax assessment in the destination country/region.
5. Changes to Tax Policy
Solidot reserves the right to update or modify this Tax Policy at any time to comply with changes in local or international tax laws, regulations, or customs practices. Any changes will be posted on our official website and will take effect immediately upon publication. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically for the latest information.
