Solidot Unveils Its "All-Star Lineup" at the Industrial Expo.

After three years of preparation, the China International Industry Fair (hereinafter referred to as CIIF) was grandly held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from September 19 to 23, 2023. As the largest and most influential comprehensive industrial event in China, this year's CIIF adopted the new theme "Carbon-Neutral New Industry, Digital Intelligence New Economy," comprehensively showcasing the latest technologies, products and cutting-edge innovations in the industrial sector.

Leveraging its advanced technologies innovatively developed in the fieldbus sector in recent years, Solidot presented its brand-new products and solutions at this CIIF, delivering a meticulously designed exhibition program to visitors from multiple dimensions including protocols used, product performance and application cases.

General-Purpose I/O Specialized Transmission Technology, a More Solid Leading Edge

Backed by strong R&D capabilities, stable product performance and solid brand influence, Solidot's general-purpose I/O series products have continued to make breakthroughs, targeting more refined bus solutions and continuously expanding the product lineup. At this CIIF, the general-purpose I/O series introduced numerous new products:

XB6-MT Coupler: Module configuration supports web-based configuration. The coupler's IP address can be entered in a browser for access and operation, making it simpler and more convenient to use.

PROFIBUS-DP Coupler: Transmission rate supports a range of 9.6 Kbps... 12 Mbps. Various types of slice I/O modules can be combined freely. Fewer occupied nodes during configuration, with support for up to 1024 points of digital expansion.

CC7 module: IP67 protection rating, having passed protection rating testing. Uses standard M12 cables for simple wiring. Certified for conformance by CE and CLPA. Now widely used in photovoltaic, lithium battery, LCD screen and other industries.

In addition to the new products, even more impressive was the redesigned EC/PN dynamic exhibit. Its topology consists of a master + vertical I/O + slice I/O + horizontal I/O + IP67 I/O + IO-Link Master/slave + C2S, C2P valve terminals + switch, connected as a whole via star and linear connection methods. All Solidot modules feature a compact design that saves cabinet space, providing a complete solution for different scenarios. On the EC display board, Solidot also previewed the XX5 series integrated new product, which integrates multiple protocol communication interfaces and input/output I/O interfaces, and offers a rich variety of terminal types such as e-con, screw-type and spring-type, meeting the wiring needs of different customers.

Motion control Extended I/O modules for More Diverse Application Scenarios

At this CIIF, the flying capture demonstration presented by Solidot attracted great attention from visitors. The demonstration was built around two flagship products — the open-loop stepper driver XB6-DS560K and the encoder counter XB6-P20A — combined with four vertical slides and one horizontal slide.

The slides are driven directly by the XB6-DS560K module, and each slide is equipped with an encoder whose position is acquired via the XB6-P20A. When any character of "Solidot" overlaps with the camera position, the comparison output function of the XB6-P20A directly outputs a pulse locally from the module's output port, triggering the industrial camera to perform flying capture, and the captured photos are then displayed on the screen.

Fieldbus Valve terminal Deep Expertise in bus Protocols, More Convenient Upgrades and Innovations

Solidot's independently developed fieldbus valve terminal series has always been the "evergreen" of successive exhibitions, and at this CIIF it remained as eye-catching as ever, especially the flagship C2P series products.

In terms of structure, the C2P series products feature an improved wiring method, replacing the CM12 interface with an RJ45 interface, eliminating the need for specific M12 cables and making wiring more convenient and reliable. In terms of function, diagnostic and clear/hold functions have been newly added. It is reported that at the PTC exhibition to be held from October 24 to October 27, Solidot will also bring brand-new IO-Link valve terminals and CANopen protocol valve terminals. The protocol gateway lineup continues to strongly promote the Robot X series of robot gateways. The Robot X product family adopts Solidot's X-bus component architecture, enabling independent protocol conversion modules that are detachable and freely combinable, meeting the diverse on-site protocol conversion needs of different customers through rich combinations. In addition, the debut of the vertical EtherCAT six-port switch further enriches the protocol gateway product line. It offers high speed, convenient configuration, simple setup and highly flexible application scenarios, and its power supply system also features reverse polarity protection and short-circuit protection, fully ensuring a good user experience.
